Account deletion

Delete your Love Birds account

Love Birds includes an in-app account deletion flow. This page explains how to start it, what is deleted, what may remain for required records, and how to contact support if you cannot access the app.

Effective date: May 24, 2026 Applies to iOS and Android

How to delete your account in the app

  1. Open Love Birds and sign in to the account you want to delete.
  2. Go to Profile.
  3. Choose Delete account.
  4. Read the confirmation message. The app explains that this action is permanent.
  5. Confirm the deletion. Love Birds cleans up account access, local caches, and server-side account records.

If deletion succeeds, you are signed out and returned to the sign-in screen.

What deletion removes

When you delete your account, Love Birds removes your Firebase Authentication sign-in record and cleans up records associated with your user ID. This can include profile fields such as email, display name, image references, notification tokens, local app caches, solo relationship data, relationship archives, rate-limit records, entitlement records, and profile media stored for your account.

Content that may be deleted includes memories, notes, places, doodles, bucket-list items, mood records, miss-you counters, prompt responses, and uploaded media associated only with your account or solo space.

Important: Account deletion is permanent. Deleted account data may not be recoverable.

What happens if you are connected with a partner

If your account is connected to a partner, your partner is returned to solo mode. Invite codes are revoked, and shared items from the relationship are cleaned up for privacy according to the app's relationship cleanup rules. Some partner-owned solo data may remain with your partner so their account continues to work.

Subscriptions and purchases

Deleting your Love Birds account does not automatically cancel subscriptions managed by Apple or Google. If you purchased a subscription through the App Store or Google Play, manage cancellation from your Apple ID or Google Play account.

  • iOS: open Settings, tap your Apple ID, then Subscriptions.
  • Android: open Google Play, tap your profile, then Payments and subscriptions.

If you cannot access your account

If you cannot sign in, contact support through the app store listing and include the email address used for the account, your approximate signup date, device platform, and any store receipt information if you have a subscription. We may ask for additional verification before processing an account request.
