Information we collect
- Account information: Firebase user ID, email address, display name, profile image, sign-in provider, and authentication metadata from Apple, Google, or Firebase Authentication.
- Relationship data: couple IDs, invite codes, partner connection state, anniversary or relationship dates, mood signals, miss-you counts, widgets, bucket-list items, memories, notes, places, doodles, and daily prompt responses you choose to create.
- Media and files: photos or images you upload for memories, profiles, doodles, or shared content.
- Device and notification data: device tokens for push notifications, app version, platform, crash diagnostics, App Check signals, and basic device data needed for security and reliability.
- Analytics: app events such as app opened, memory created, paywall opened, purchase succeeded, and account deletion requested or completed. Love Birds does not log note text, memory titles, invite codes, emails, or partner names in analytics events.
- Purchases: subscription status and entitlement information from RevenueCat and the app stores. We do not receive full payment card details.
- Ads: if ads are shown, Google Mobile Ads may process advertising identifiers and device data according to its own policies.
How we use information
We use information to create and secure your account, connect partners, sync relationship data between devices, upload and display media, send notifications you enable, provide widgets, maintain subscriptions, prevent abuse, debug issues, improve reliability, and respond to support requests.
Love Birds is not a public social network. Your relationship data is intended for you and your connected partner, subject to the sharing choices you make inside the app.
Service providers
Love Birds relies on trusted providers to operate the app. These may include Google Firebase for authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Storage, App Check, Analytics, Crashlytics, Messaging, and Hosting; Google and Apple for sign-in and app distribution; RevenueCat for subscription entitlement management; Google Mobile Ads for ads; and app store billing systems for purchases.
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect users, to prevent fraud or abuse, or to operate and secure the app.
Your choices and controls
- You can edit or delete many items you create inside the app.
- You can disconnect from a partner or delete your account from the Profile area.
- You can manage notification permissions in your device settings.
- You can manage subscriptions through Apple App Store or Google Play.
- You can request support with account access, privacy questions, or deletion through the support page.
Retention and security
We keep data while your account is active and as needed to provide app features. When account deletion is confirmed, Love Birds deletes or de-identifies account records and cleans up relationship data according to the account deletion flow. Some records may remain for a limited period where required for security, fraud prevention, billing, legal compliance, backups, or operational logs.
We use Firebase security rules, App Check, authenticated Cloud Functions, and platform security controls to protect data. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so users should keep devices and sign-in credentials safe.
